Bichectomy

It consists of resection of the Bichat fat bags to give the face a thinner and more defined profile.

Augmentation Mammoplasty

Breast augmentation, technically known as Augmentation Mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve the size and shape of a woman’s breast in the following situations:

  • To improve the silhouette of the woman who thinks that her breasts are too small.
  • To correct the reduction of the breast that occurs after some pregnancies.
  • To correct a difference in size between both breasts.
  • As a reconstructive procedure after breast surgery.

It is possible to increase the size of the breast one or several sizes by inserting a prosthesis under the breast.

Mastopexy

Mastopexy is a surgical procedure to raise and improve the shape of sagging breasts over the years and after circumstances such as pregnancy, breastfeeding and the force of gravity that causes the breast to sag. Also, as the skin loses its elasticity, the breast loses its shape and droops, a phenomenon known as Breast Ptosis.

When the breast, in addition to falling, has lost or has little volume, a prosthesis can also be placed. Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola when it is very large.

Breast reduction

Breast reduction or Reduction Mammoplasty is a surgical procedure to reduce the size of the breasts, by removing fat, breast tissue and skin, making them smaller, lighter and firmer. It can also reduce the size of the areola.

Women with large breasts may have some problems due to this excess weight, such as back and neck pain, irritation of the skin under the breast and respiratory problems.

The purpose of the Reduction Mammoplasty is to provide the woman with smaller breasts and with a more proportional shape to the challenge of her body.

Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is a medical term that comes from the Greek word used to define “Breasts similar to those of women.” Although you don’t often hear about this problem, it is quite common these days. It is estimated that Gynecomastia affects 40-60% of men and can affect only one breast or both.

Although certain drugs or medications and some medical problems can be linked to the overdevelopment of the male breast, in the vast majority of cases there is no known cause.

For men who are concerned about their appearance, breast reduction can be helpful. The procedure removes fat and glandular tissue from the breasts, and in extreme cases, also removes excess skin, resulting in a flat, firm, and well-contoured chest.

Liposuction

Liposuction, also known as liposculpture, is a surgical technique used to remove fat deposits from certain areas of the body, including the cheeks and neck, arms and breasts, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, thighs, knees and ankles.

Liposuction is not a substitute for weight loss, but a method to remove localized accumulations of fat that do not respond to diet or exercise.

If you are considering the possibility of undergoing liposuction, you will obtain basic information about the surgery, when it is indicated, how it is performed and what results can be expected. However, it is impossible for all your questions to be answered, since they largely depend on personal factors and the preferences of the plastic surgeon.

Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty is the operation consisting of the removal of excess skin and abdominal fat, and the correction of muscle flaccidity. This situation of excess skin and relaxation of the abdominal wall usually occurs in patients who have had weight gain and subsequent loss, or in women who have had several pregnancies. Abdominoplasty achieves a flatter, firmer abdomen and a narrower waist.

The intervention is performed under general anesthesia, making an incision above the pubic hair that extends towards the hips. The skin of the abdomen is released and, if necessary, the abdominal muscles are reinforced with sutures. Excess skin is pulled down and excised.

After the operation, the patient will wear a special girdle, reinforced with a bandage, according to each individual case. The scars around the navel and in the lower abdomen will improve over time. However, in some cases it is necessary to perform a scar revision under local anesthesia. More than in any other cosmetic surgery intervention, the phrase is valid: “The surgeon makes the suture and the patient the scar.”

As possible, although rare complications, it is worth mentioning the loss of vitality (Necrosis) of the skin located above the pubis that may require a longer post-operative treatment. Likewise, seromas and/or hematomas may appear that require evacuation.
